Title: STANDING ITEM: STRATEGIC RISK REGISTER

Purpose 

To update the Committee on the Management Team’s review of the Strategic Risk Register. 


Recommendations 

The Committee is asked to: 

a) Note the updated Strategic Risk Register presented at Annex 1 to this paper. 


Executive Summary 

The Management Team regularly reviews the Authority’s Strategic Risk Register. The 
updated Strategic Risk Register is presented in Annex 1 to this paper for information 
following the most recent review of the status of strategic risks by the Management Team on 
15 May 2007. 

No additional risks have been added to the register since it was last considered by the 
Committee at its meeting in March 2007. A number of updates to actions and status of 
tracking of risk have been made and these are noted in the Annex. 

As reported to the Committee in March, Management Team has agreed that the likelihood of 
a number of strategic risks identified has now sufficiently diminished to warrant removing 
these risks from the register. These were noted by members in March and have, 
accordingly, now been removed.
